Psalms 6-15
Today I read the next ten chapters in the book of Psalms in the Old Testament. All of the Psalms that were read today, were written by King David. They were either written to a director of music or for help when confronting his enemies in battle. Psalms is easy to get through because every Psalm is different in the way it was written, who is was written by and who is was written for/ about. There is not a lot I can say about Psalms for I must read further in before I can fully start to understand it. I have learned that by praising God in everything we do allows us to become fully his as we worship is Holy Name. When I'm worshiping him and I know the song that we are singing, I will close my eyes and let the song over flow me with his love. For one of the gifts that God has given me is song to sing his praises with.
"The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord is on his heavenly throne. He observes the sons of men; his eyes examine them. The Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates. On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot. For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice; upright men will see his face." Psalms 11: 4-7 NIV
