Psalms 46-55
Yesterday, I got to read Psalms once again and it is getting interesting to say the least. Over these ten chapters, I have discovered another author of Psalms, their name is Asaph. So that makes three authors of Psalms so far. Asaph goes on the list with King David and the Sons of Korah. It feels like the world is crashing and enemies are attacking so the need for praising and asking God for help when defeating their enemies once more for God has proven that through him all is possible. I have learned that relying on God in everything that I do and praising his name will only get me so far but it will strengthen my relationship I have with him. I must also pray to God not only in times of trouble but all the time for only praying when told to do isn't enough for he needs to hear our prays all the times not only in those times.
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, through the earth give way the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, through its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging." Psalms 46: 1-3 NIV
