Psalms 96-105
Today, I continued reading along in Psalms. The ten chapters that were read today were either written by King David, were unnamed (so they were just labeled psalm) or was written by an afflicted man. It felt like they knew that you couldn't hide your face or yourself away from God's sight for he will always be able to find you even when you believe that he will not deliver. By praising his name to the Heavens above and have a servants heart they do more help then harm to others. I have learned that to humble myself in front of God, I must first humble myself in front of others so that I might help them and not harm them by doing something wrong. One example on someone in my life that truly has a servants heart is my Father. God gave my dad a gift of being able to fix things like cars, games and a number of other stuff too. I remember my Mom (I think) saying that before we left for Luxembourg, my dad had helped out two-thirds of The Chapel's Akron Campus because the people my dad would help would tell their friends when they needed help and they told their friends. It kept my dad busy and he hates to feel useless. I also remember on the last Sunday at All Nations Church of Luxembourg (ANCL), my family was going to be able to attend with all four of there. The Pastor had us come stand in the front then had anyone that my father had helped out to stand. Almost everyone in the audience stood up, the one people who did not were either visiting or were guests at ANCL. It was amazing in just those four short years what a hole my dad can create. This showed me that it was truly possible to have a servants heart and us what God gave you for good not evil.
"But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children--- with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts." Psalms 103: 17-18 NIV
