Day 16

Psalms 76-85

Today, I read in Psalms. The chapters that were read today made me filled with joy knowing that he is with us even when we feel like he has abandoned us in our darkest hour. The authors of today chapters of Psalms are Asaph and the Sons of Korah. Knowing that we are God's people but also that we have broken the covenant that he made with Abraham back in Genesis. He kept this covenant with us even through we have not always honored our end of the agreement that we made. I have learned that God will be with me when I walk alone all by myself or it a crowded room where one's faith could be tested to it's limits. God can and will get angry at us when we turn from him and become the wicked that he detests. He will always be the clam before the storm becomes too much for us to handle alone without anyone else's help in the matter. He will always hold me fast in his stead fast love.

"Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wicked. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless." Psalms 84: 10-11 NIV
