Job 38-42
Today I finished the last five chapters in the book of Job in the Old Testament. During these last five chapters, God finally responds to Job and he finds out that he still was in God's favor whether it be in good times or the bad times. God also at the end of it all, made Job blessed more then he was was before all the terrible stuff happened in is life. He had more children, lived a long life for he got to see his Great-Grandchildren (4th generation) and had more livestock then every before. It was said that his three daughters that he had were the most beautiful in all the land. I have learned from the ending of the book of Job that good things come to those that wait. I know now that God will deliver me in dew time what is right and I must have patience until he wishes to reveal his plan for me to me (does that make sense).
"Does the hawk take flight by your wisdom and spread his wings toward the south? Does the eagle soar at your command and build his nest on high? He dwells on a cliff and stays there at night; a rocky crag is his stronghold. From there he seeks out his food; his eyes detect it from afar. His young ones feast on blood, and where the slain are, there is he." Job 39: 26-30 NIV
Psalms 1-5
Today I started the book of Psalms in the Old Testament. I have read 5 out of 150 chapters of the book of Psalms. These chapters feel like they are praises that if they were set to music then it would flow like a song might. Theses chapters also so that David and others writers of the book of Psalms were praising God with all of their hearts while they were writing them. I have learned that the Hebrew name for Psalms is "The Books of Praises", I find this interesting because of what I have seen in just the first couple of chapters of the book of Psalms. The Psalms themselves make me feel like I just want to read until I can't anymore because they flow so nicely into one another.
"But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them that those who love your name may rejoice in you. For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield." Psalms 5: 11-12 NIV
