Psalms 56-65
Today, I continued my reading into Psalms. The Psalms that were read today were only written by King David. He was the first author of Psalms that I discovered during my readings. David is singing praises to God so that he might help Israel win a battle against their enemies that are bearing down upon them. He is also singing praises of thanks to God too besides the pleas for help against their enemies. I have learned that to have a balance between love and hate you must first understand that God will show you this balance but he will not reveal this to you until that is firmly planted in your mind. Example: My younger brother and I use to hate each other but now we miss and love each other dearly because we are separated from a sibling for many months at a time. We have found this balance now after years of trying but not succeeding for we were blind but now we can see what we needed as a foundation before we began to build on that relationship.
"On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me." Psalms 63: 6-8 NIV
