Job 18-27
Today I read the next ten chapters in the book of Job in the Old Testament. I can't wait until I'm done reading it because it feels like it is just the same things that Job was complain or arguing with his friends about yesterday when I read Job 8-17. Job doesn't wish to listen to his friends but it also seems like in these chapters that his friends are trying to persuade him to curse God like the Devil wants him to do in the first place but being a man of faith Job refrains from doing just that to God. I have learned that even when you are weak like Job is in these chapters he still has the strength to carry on even through he believes that God has left him. God never leaves us unless we give up on faith but to give up on faith would me to let the Devil or Satan win the battle or to give up on Religion all together. We must be strong in the face of God when we are weak so that we can say that are God's People when it is time for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
"But if I go to the east, he is not there; if I go to the west, I do not find him. When he is at work in the north, I do not see him; when he turns to the south, I catch no glimpse of him. But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside. I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread." Job 23: 8-12 NIV
